How To Read Korean Characters

If you are using Windows 95/98/NT Korean Version or Mac OS with Korean language kit, you will automatically read Korean characters.
However, if your computer is working on English Version Windows, you need to do some additional work.
But don't worry! It is very simple. Just follow the instruction below.
If still having a problem, we are here for you!

Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher

(1) Go to "View" from the menu, and select "Encoding", and then select "Korean."

 View > Encoding > Korean

(2) If you are still unable to read Korean, go to "Tools", and select "Windows Updates." You will see lots of options. Among the options, please choose "Korean language support." It will automatically install Korean language support onto your computer.
Tools > Windows Updates > Korean language support

Netscape Navigator or Communicator

Because of some technical problems, we are recommending you to use Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher. However, many of you are familiar to Netscape as your web browser.
Hangul (Korean) use in Netscape is not as easy as MS Internet Explorer, but you can still read Korean Characters in Netscape.

(1) Go to "View" from the menu, and select "Character set", and then select "Korean."

View > Character set > Korean

(2) If Korean characters are still broken, please Go to "Edit", and select "Preference", and then go to "Appearance", and "Fonts". Select "Korean" from "for the encoding", and choose "Gulimche" or "Batangche" as the fonts.

  Edit > Preferences > Appearance > Fonts > Korean > Gulimche

(3) If you don't have "Gulimche" or "Batangche" in the list, you need to install the fonts. In that case, please contact us for help. Just email us at hpkc@welcome.to.
